AI isn't just for Python wizards anymore. In this session I'll break the myth that python's the only language for AI and I'll show that Java can also play in the AI space by walking you through how we built our own fully customizable Perplexity reasoning engine - ready to plug into any source index and LLM. We'll start with why you should care: how deploying your own AI can supercharge productivity, give you full control and seamlessly integrate with enterprise tools like Confluence or even run LLM model locally with Ollama. Then, we'll dive into "The How": exploring the architecture, essential OS tools, and the key components that make that whole project work. Finally, we'll get hands-on with Java-powered AI, showcasing real code examples that prove AI isn't just Python's playground. And best of all, you'll leave with a blueprint for your own reasoning app that's modular, pluggable and tailored to your needs. If you ever wanted to build your own AI assistant similar to Iron Man's J.A.R.V.I.S., that actually understands context and works with your existing tools, that's the session for you. Get ready to demystify AI: Java-style <[●_●]> No AI was hurt during the creation of this abstract... ...just pure caffeine and questionable life choices C[_]
